Zeb Coughenour is an experienced automotive design professional with 13 years of experience, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Interior Design at Lucid Motors. He leads the interior design development for the company’s vehicle interiors, a role that presents distinct opportunities to optimize passenger space given the unique architecture of electric vehicles, an approach Lucid defines as the Space Concept. His objective is to advance the occupant experience by reconsidering vehicle interaction through innovative spatial configurations, new features, and more intuitive communication between occupants and the vehicle. “What inspires me most is continually innovating the interior customer experience,” he says. “Innovative design succeeds only through close collaboration between engineering and design.” Over more than eleven years at Lucid, he has played an integral role in shaping the company’s comprehensive vision for interior design.

Prior to joining Lucid, Zeb worked in Global Advanced Interior Design at Ford Motor Company, where he developed numerous forward-looking projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Zeb earned his Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from the ArtCenter College of Design. His career reflects a deep commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and the evolution of automotive interiors as expressive, functional spaces for the future of mobility.
