Joel Piaskowski is Ford’s Global Design Director for Trucks, Vans and Commercial Vehicles. Joel graduated from College for Creative Studies in Detroit with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Transportation Design.​

Joel has been in design leadership for over 30 years, at companies including General Motors, Hyundai/Kia, and Mercedez-Benz. He has worked in Southern California, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Germany.

Joel joined Ford Motor Company as Design Director in 2010. Since then, he has led design teams on F-150, Edge, Explorer, Mustang including the 6th & 7th generations, Mach-E and GTD. While leading the European Design teams in Germany and England he oversaw the design development of Fiesta, Focus and Puma amongst others. He has also led Color and Materials, Components, Seating, Digital UX and Exterior Lighting design studios.

Today, Joel leads Design development and Strategy for all Ford Pick-up Trucks, Vans and Commercial vehicles worldwide. He is based in Dearborn, Michigan.
