Jennifer Widrick

Jennifer Widrick is Director of Global CMF Design at General Motors, where she leads the development of color, material and finish strategies across Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Her team helps define what customers see, touch and feel in GM vehicles, from exterior colors to interior materials, textures, fabrics, carpets and trim details. Her responsibilities span program development, commodity strategy, creative direction, and leadership alignment from early concept through launch and personalization experiences.

Through her leadership, a broad spectrum of material visions has been brought to life, spanning future-focused concepts such as Opulent Velocity, CX Concept and Elevated Velocity, as well as the transformation of Cadillac's design expression, anchored by the award-winning LYRIQ production program. Her impact extends beyond vehicle development. Jennifer recently played a key role in the launch of Curated by Cadillac, creating a luxury personalization experience that deepens customer engagement, enhances brand loyalty and reinforces Cadillac's premium positioning in the marketplace. By seamlessly bridging visionary thinking with production execution, Jennifer has helped shape the future aesthetic, material, and experiential direction of General Motors, advancing color, materials, and craftsmanship as powerful differentiators across the company's brands.

Before joining GM, Widrick spent nearly two decades at Ford, where she held color and materials design roles, including Senior Color and Materials Designer and Color and Materials Design Manager. She joined GM in 2019 as a Creative Design Manager and became Director of Global Color and Trim in 2020.

Widrick’s work extends from individual vehicle programs to long-term product planning. Her team forecasts color and material trends several model years ahead, evaluates lower-impact materials and responsible finishes, and balances customer emotion and design expression with the appearance, durability and quality expected in production vehicles. She partners with designers, engineers, artists and global teams to carry material ideas from early exploration into a coordinated, production-ready vehicle experience.

Widrick graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
